#2 - Summoning Rancor
I really didn’t know she had it in her! That is to say, like On The Rock, this comic is not scripted panel-per-panel. I’m running on the the usual faith of character individuality and voracity of existence.Yes, I did just write that.
So I also decided to step up the release schedule. Gonna run full speed with this one, folks. Press ESC is a different beast of burden than prior comics. It’s not tied down to the conventions I was tired of. It happens, after a while, that the creator needs fresh content… to keep the ol’ juices flowing.
Why not? Do we not need change to stay inspired from day to day? To be successful, we need a few things: A goal, motivation, challenge, and rewards. If I were to place Press ESC as the central pillar of said topic, here’s how the list would look:
Goal: To gain a wide audience
Motivation: The entertainment and enjoyment of above mentioned group
Challenge: Surmounting the plethora of sprite based comics and related prejudices
Rewards: Evidence of acceptance by audience members.
Rewards can be turned around and bestowed upon you, the readership, should this gain enough momentum. The fact is - we read comics because they’re giving us something. If I am able to be so kind as to offer something to you, then I’m going to do it.
Capice?
