#16 - See or Be Seen?
I feel badly about ignoring a kid who noticed I was playing Final Fantasy III on my DS on the bus tonight. >.> When I get my code I’ll post it so y’all can razz me about it. Anyway, I wear headphones so as not to be annoyed by people on the bus… the natural consequence of that is the positive can be missed.He asked me how far I was, and I would like to have told him I just started, but I have to let it go. It’s one of those things you like to respond to when you share a hobby with someone. Social, friendly… when my lack of response, as if I was in a glass bubble, was not.
There are a lot of friendly people out there, and I don’t want to become a cold shoulder! It’s not my style, and certainly not how I intend to operate. Well anyway, it’s something for me to be aware of, rather than lament, because I choose to wear those headphones.
Anyone who blames other people for their choice to wear them isn’t seeing the reality very clearly.
