#161 - “Husks for Dummies”
Press Mac
This seems to be out of the realm of care, or support, with foolish cries of “get 10.4!” Oh how’s that? Going to pay for my DVD-ROM upgrade? I thought not. Where does that leave diligent yet underpaid faithfuls?
Caring because caring is enough, is what I sustain. Granted progress happens, and happen it must with 10.5 kicking all kinds of Microsoft tush. That’s just pure entertainment, even if you aren’t sporting supported hardware. Do yourself a favor and have a laugh at M$ expense, ’cause it’s their own fault anyway. It’s not hard to underline the truth - I just happen to like the colour of the highlighter.
Apple has grown significantly since it’s near-closure experience back in the late 90s. iPod is King, regardless to who you may pledge your sovereignty. The iBrand revolution turned the eyes of an entire modern world towards Steve Jobs and his Can Do Macs. Games need not apply, even Carmack cannot hope to convince Steve the value of said market.
He need not bow to any man, and though he has proven the brand, what will become of it without his brilliant leadership? Macs are the geek status symbol. Lump it or love it, the influential, genius, and monetarily well provided all utilize Macs. The mundane can tarry with The Rest Of Us.
Facts are facts; Mac users create more because their systems cause them less trouble, and because they spend less time playing games. Is this something Steve has quietly decided for his customers? I’ve always said “If I want to waste time I use Windows, but if I want to get work done, I use my Mac.”
‘Nuff said.
