#189 - Covert Snag
Nyrin and I had discussed at some length the possibility of an RPG borne from the Press ESC storyline. This is what it might sound like…
(Intro) Welcome to a Grand Tale
- Dragons, lawless upholders of their Gods’ will, created to serve no other. Their one price for power: To know human emotion but never love, and not to share their lives with others. One God, Leyane, defied the Order of Gods and made the White Scar Dragons. They can, upon giving up their powers and status, become as a mortal, marry, and have family.
- Phate, the Silver Thread Dancer, saw to it that challenges where brought to all who would tarry with such power. Thus any mortal tempted by the wiles of a Dragon would ultimately bear the seeds of incredible power - whether dark or light would be determined by the nature of the Dragon, rather by the will of the offspring.
- By tampering with the work of the Gods, Rena was made deathly ill and given but a year to select a successor. Unphased, she continued her work. The seeds of her ploy would bear fruit in five warriors that would come to bear her terrible burden. To win her station, one only had to defeat her: Thus the stability of an entire world was threatened as a handful of mightily gifted warriors prepared to make a bid for her power.
These Heros Would Band Together
- Rand: A tough warrior of dull wit, great resolve and charm, yet no one has brought him to his knees.
- Dusk: A young female cyborg with an open heart and fierce determination to be what her brother could not.
- Nyrin: Recently aware of his ancestral heritage, his only purpose in life is to live it his way, rather than at the behest of a creator he does not understand.
- Buddy: The product of much testing but proven despite foolishness that he will protect his family.
- Miyako: Innocent of intent and mighty of fist, this newly graduated Vile Reaper established that “”her kind” have a place in the Halls of Leyane.
