#202 - Back Off
How rude! However, it follows - having made the comic now, that Zero hasn’t actually spit in the face of honour, humanity, and all that is good. Wait, does he even spit? Dr. Light’s original robots bled, apparently, but the official word on the bodily fluids of the way-beyond-future Reploids has not been discussed anywhere in my vicinity.
Hey, drop by the groups and fix that will ya?
Folks, far be it from me to underplay the world wide food crisis, global weather changes, wars and rumours of wars, and the recent deaths of 40,000 with as many unaccounted for… all to say I was right. Ask yourself for one split second, what is the value of being right about things like this? Right? About?
Go back a few rants - you’ll notice I complain write rather passionately about the state of our civilization. What does one do when the world crumbles? Let go? No. The value of being right is awareness, and the question that follows is for who’s sake? Mine?
How about the very group that has sustained the most assaultive attention and threat in recent years? How did we reach this conclusion, pray tell? Who was it to make the decision that the very fabric of our world was no longer worth pursuing? Heavy thinking, heavy thinking.
Those who fight to keep your family together do so without hesitation! The wolves strike at the young ones, they fray the tethers of the parents, they alienate our grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins! Why? Who has the answer? Who would dare say it? What about the family unit is not worthy?
To those who would duck their heads rather than accept the truth, or fabricate distractions to evade it, you’d better keep at it, because those quiet moments of loneliness assail you, and you rue it in denial. That is the truth. No word can alter it, no campaign will shatter it. None.
Popularity is not what we gain by throwing off what is right, because we lose all that has value. A momentary spotlight is unworthy of bonds that cannot be rent by the worst travesty. Nay. A space to be honest when the noise ascends the mountains as if to swallow them.
Fear it not, friends.
All that comes bears emotions unhinged, buried in our souls, crying freedom. Let it, know what is right and throw off impurity.
If it makes me unpopular to be so bold and direct, so be it.
