#221 - Goat Sundering

Apologies for the late comic - again. Having moved leaves me with less “disposable” time than I previously had. Besides which, ensuring Nyrin’s IRL safety takes priority. It’s been a cruddy week so far, but as always I will make the best of it.

Pester, a kitten we recently rescued did not survive. We did what we could and when it came down to brass marbles, no amount of love or money was going to undo the damage suffered in her six month old life.

Thanks, world, for being so selfish. By all means, take up the banner of self appreciation and gratification. Forget what’s important and priceless - forget your kids, your pets, your family. Give it up - what’s the point if you can’t have fun and get your kicks?

I’ve said this before, and I will repeat it. When the world says “what do you have to validate your thirty years of life?” My family! I cannot doubt investing my time, energy and trouble in these people is worth the loss of worldly success in its many forms. What can reclaim these things, what can prove them? What can buy them?

Nothing.

So I do not guilt about my choices.

Rest, Pester, we will see you again.
